About Deck Builders Marketing

Not a little bit of everything.
Only deck builders.

We work with deck builders and outdoor living contractors—and only this industry. Your marketing should understand the projects you build, the homeowners you serve, and what makes a customer choose one contractor over another.

Specialist marketing for deck builders. No unrelated industries. No one-size-fits-all playbook.
Who we are

Built around one trade. Designed for real growth.

Deck building is a considered purchase. Homeowners look at project photos, read reviews, compare materials, check service areas, and decide which companies seem capable of delivering the space they have in mind.

That is why we bring search visibility, Google Maps, websites, paid campaigns, reputation, and lead measurement together. Each part should reinforce the same story: what you build, where you work, and why a homeowner should trust you with the project.

We keep our focus narrow so our work can be shaped around the realities of this industry—not a generic marketing checklist made for every business.

We don’t try to market every business. We help deck builders make their best work easier to find, understand, and choose.
Why the specialist focus matters

Homeowners don’t buy a marketing plan. They choose the contractor they trust.

Your online presence needs to answer the questions buyers actually have—before they call, request an estimate, or compare your business with another builder.

01 / BE DISCOVERED

Show up in the right places.

Make it easier for homeowners to find your business in local search, Google Maps, and relevant service-area searches.

02 / EARN CONFIDENCE

Make your work speak.

Present completed projects, services, reviews, materials, and service areas clearly so prospects can assess the fit.

03 / TURN INTEREST INTO ACTION

Make the next step clear.

Connect the website, calls, forms, and campaign measurement so you can understand where enquiries come from.

The people behind the work

Different specialties.
One shared focus.

Search strategy, website development, and paid marketing work best when they are planned together around the same kind of customer.

How we think

Good marketing should be clear, useful, and accountable.

No confusing reports or activity for activity’s sake. We focus on the practical improvements that help the right homeowner understand your business and move toward a conversation.

Specialist over generic

Recommendations are shaped around deck builders and outdoor living contractors.

◎

Clarity over complexity

Priorities, deliverables, and performance should be easy to understand.

✓

Evidence over hype

We distinguish what has been measured from what still needs to be tested.

⌁

One connected journey

Search, website experience, reputation, campaigns, and tracking should support one another.

A practical process

From understanding your market
to improving what works.

The work starts with your business, not a preset package. We identify the biggest opportunities, agree on priorities, and measure progress as the work moves forward.

STEP 01

Understand the business

Learn your services, target projects, ideal customers, service areas, and current lead journey.

STEP 02

Map the opportunity

Review your website, search presence, local competitors, and points where prospects may drop off.

STEP 03

Prioritize and implement

Focus effort on agreed improvements across the channels that matter most to your goals.

STEP 04

Measure and refine

Review available evidence, learn what is working, and adjust the next round of work.

A transparent performance snapshot

Growth comes from improving the whole customer journey.

SelectDecks is a deck-building business serving multiple markets. Its local search strategy considers the location page, service pages, Google Business Profile, project content, reviews, and local authority as connected parts of the customer journey.

The comparison is mixed: average position improved from 11.1 to 10.6, while clicks and impressions declined in the more recent six-month period. We show that honestly because useful reporting should identify what improved, what needs attention, and where the next opportunity sits.
